I really enjoyed your video, however I think I have to disagree on the amount of songs you think are about Joe. In my opinion, only *So Long, London* and *Fresh Out The Slammer* (partly) are about Joe. First I thought *The Black Dog* was about Joe, too, but after many listenings and some research, I actually think it's also about Matty. Everytime she says that "she doesn't understand it" (as she does in *The Black Dog* and *How Did It End?* ) I personally believe that she's referring to Matty and his ghosting. She does understand how things with Joe ended. The break-up was rather mutually (as far as I'm aware) and in retrospective, she already sang about a possible break-up with Joe in *Midnights* . I feel like when she was writing for *TTPD* she was already quite "over" him and was more dealing with her heartbreak caused by Matty. (Everything that follows comes with an "Allegedly"): Matty ghosted her. He was courting her for years, they've been their respective "what ifs". When it was over with Joe, he promised her marriage and kids. She was on cloud nine, feeling intoxicated by his affection. We just have to look at her "you know who you are, this song's about you, I love you" and "I'm so happy, I'm the most happiest in my life, I finally feel that everything in my life makes sense" moments during the Eras Tour. She was 110% in a honeymoon phase. And Matty left. He ghosted her. There wasn't this slow dying of this relationship as there was with Joe. She was on cloud nine and he left. She fell hard, literally. That's why I also believe that *ICDIWABH* is also about Matty. She's singing about finding his things in her drawer, crucial evidence that she didn't imagine the whole thing. You don't imagine a six year relationship. You need evidence that you didn't imagine a whirlwind relationship that started quickly and ended suddenly and definitely not mutually. She's also singing about the short time, even though he had promised her "all time". I'm not saying that the break-up with Joe didn't affect her at all. Obviously ending a six year relationship, even if it was foreseeable, is hard and hurts. That's why she wrote *So Long, London* but she's also expressing how the relationship made her feel caged (that's why I think that *Fresh Out The Slammer* is partially about Joe). She spent 10 years fantasizing about Matty, dreaming about him, he was her "what if". So when he bolted, it hurt twice as hard. Especially since she was willing to endure all scrutiny for dating him (entering *But Daddy, I Love Him* ). She knew that it would give her bad press for dating him. He's said some problematic things, some Swifties publicly scolded her for dating him, and she was absolutely willing to ignore all that and be with him. She, kinda "childishly" expressed her love for him during her tour, she was seen publicly with him, she didn't hide him. She was absolutely willing to stay by his side and endure it all... And he bolted. Which would also hint that *My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys* is about Matty, because once he had her, he broke her. Oh, and as already hinted before, I don't think that *But Daddy, I Love Him* is about Travis but Matty, because her dating Travis was no controversy at all. Everyone loved it when they started dating. *But Daddy, I Love Him* is a message to her fans who think that they can tell her how to live her life. I agree that *The Alchemy* is about Travis. Many think it's also about Matty, but the football references are too obvious imho.
